What is the best abs exercise for men and women?
Ok, everyone asks it to a personal trainer – and its understandable why – a tight and lean midsection on men or women is one of the most attractive and desirable body images that nearly all people who begin healthy exercise crave.

But not only is it aesthetically pleasing to see a toned and fit person with a tight and healthy ‘core’ – it is also – more importantly - a typical sign of great health and of huge value in correct posture, alignment and function of our healthy bodies.
Now a lot of us sit down at computers, heck I’m trying not to slouch as I type this, and its a fact that we as humans are even less active today than our ancestors were. That’s incredible isn’t it? You’d think that we get fitter, stronger and better throughout history but its actually quite the opposite and its due in no small part to the horrendous diets and food choices our society is being offered alongside the growing automation in our world from everything from travelling everywhere in our cars to having just to move a mouse or our fingers to recieve EVERY piece of information we could possibly need on a screen 20 inches from our face!
But that’s life, it does offer positives to us and makes our days a lot more streamlined. However, we cannot neglect the need for serious and proven physical fitness to counteract this lack we now find in our ever more automated lives.
So a healthy fitness regime is so important.
But as we train for the complete physical package – specific to our genetics and personal build etc we all know or will now that a solid core is of more importance than just a nice looking six pack or tight waistline. Yes that’s great, but I almost look at it as the ‘reward’ for training our bodies the right way to make them work and function optimally.
So when I do programs for myself or clients I focus on exercises that challenge our bodies in various planes of motion and also in various ways that elicit a response that will be the most productive not just in getting great core and abdominal muscles for others to admire and us to feel great about, but importantly to protect our internal organs, support our frame and posture and give us the optimal performing body in all the activities we do.
So here I wanted to show you in a quick video from my MobileFatloss system, the BEST – or definitely up in the top 3 – Abs exercise for men and women to do. It is harder than it looks.
